Madison has over 25 years of experience in both public service and private practice. A seasoned commercial real estate, finance, and business attorney, Madison handled civil appellate matters and real estate transactions for the State of Tennessee. Before her public service, she was a partner at two large law firms in Nashville and was previously associated with two large law firms in Wilmington, Delaware.
Her practice focused on corporate reorganization, commercial lending, and creditors' rights, representing financial institutions and borrowers in loan documentation, foreclosures, workouts, title curative matters, and real estate transactions. Madison's experience in loan transactions includes all forms of collateral and all aspects of the litigation process, from loan origination to default resolution.
Her commercial and real estate lending practice included representing lenders and borrowers in negotiating, structuring, and documenting the construction and permanent financing of restaurants, shopping centers, hotels, and corporate office properties. She also represented clients in matters involving working capital and general corporate loans, documenting workouts and assumptions, pursuing collections, and conducting foreclosure sales and REO portfolio sales. Madison has represented public company debtors, creditors' committees, equity committees, asset buyers and sellers, and a wide range of trade creditors in "Mega" Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings nationwide.
Madison's practice now focuses on providing real estate title and closing services. She also provides legal services for banking, finance, default resolution, and estate planning matters. Madison is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Delaware, and Tennessee.
